About Us:

The Alex Wardle Foundation Fund was set up in memory of Alex Wardle, who passed away in March 2016 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).

The Alex Wardle Foundation is raising money for:

  • To raise awareness of SADS, which can affect each and every family.
  • To have automatic defibrilators installed at local establishments in Portsmouth.
  • To organise group screening sessions in Portsmouth for cardiovascular disease.

12 people die suddenly each week from an undiagnosed heart condition.

1 in 300 young people tested will have a potentially life threatening condition.

Alex was a medical student, working in research, and we want to continue his legacy by helping to further understand SADS and prevent deaths from the condition.

Our website is www.thealexwardlefoundation.org, and we are on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thealexwardlefoundation

Thank you for your support and good luck!

Yours Sincerely,

Mr James Dennett
(Head of Fundraising)
